18 WEEKS!

Well as most of y'all know, IT'S A BOY! Russell and I couldn't be more excited! It was so adorable, Russ was so smiley and happy all day. He secretly wanted a little baby boy. I secretly just wanted to hear the baby's heart beat. I can't really describe it to you, but hearing the little heart beats is just the most incredible feeling. It's also pretty relaxing since I still can't feel any movement yet (they say that's normal and it may take up to 24 weeks).

It took them forever to find out what we were having. The first ultrasound tech made me move all around and tried for what seemed like forever. He just didn't want to cooperate with us! He is for sure my child ;) Anyways, they brought in the senior tech and she found his little parts almost immediately. She wasn't really subtle either, she was just like, "Well, it's a boy. There's his penis." Haha, okay then! IT'S A BOY.

How Far: 18 weeks! Almost half way there.

Baby is the Size of: A bell pepper (gross)

Maternity Clothes: So my mission is to not buy any maternity clothes at all. Now that may sound crazy to some of you, but I'm sure you've never seen my closet. The amount of clothes I have is astronomical. I'm sure I can find stuff that works. When I get so big that my pants don't fit, I'll buy a belly band. Maternity pants freak me out.

Sleep: SO MUCH BETTER. I can sleep through the entire night now :D

Movement: Whenever I had my last check-up and the doc was listening to the heartbeat she was like, "DID YOU FEEL THAT?!" He was moving all around and she felt him, but I guess because this is my first pregnancy I don't really know what anything feels like..

Best/Worst Moment of the WeekBest--sleep. Worst--I had to use a hair tie to hold my pants up.

Miss Anything:  I have the urge to ride a roller coaster right now.

Food Cravings: Junk. Give me all the junk food.

Anything make you Queasy: The smell of our neighbors cooking. What the hell is she making? It smells like feet.

Weight Gain: Not sure. When I went back I lost one more pound, but I can tell I'm gaining a little now.

Stretch Marks: Haven't seen one yet.

Happy or Moody: I'm a lot happier now days!

Symptoms: Heartburn. So bad that it almost makes me vomit. I've never had heartburn a day in my life so when I first noticed something was wrong I thought I was having a heart attack. It feels like my esophagus is on fire. I took about 10 different antacids and the only thing that works is Prilosec. Yep, the stuff Larry the Cable Guy takes.

Looking Forward to: Feeling him move around!

15 WEEKS

SO RUSSELL AND I ARE PREGNANT. Haha. Oh geeze. It was definitely a shock but we couldn't be more excited! I'm going to try to post as many pregnancy updates as possible just so I can have documentation and to share this exciting time with others!

How Far: 15 weeks! I can't believe we kept our mouths shut for this long! Props to us!

Baby is the Size of: An apple!

Maternity Clothes: Not yet, thank goodness. That picture is actually a little deceiving. If you saw me in person you probably couldn't even tell I was pregnant. It just looks like I have a little beer belly  ;)

Sleep: Poor Russ. I wake up about three times every night. This is so unusual for me since I used to sleep like a rock and would never have to wake up in the middle of the night.

Movement: None yet. I heard you can probably feel little movements a few weeks later so I'm looking forward to that!

Best/Worst Moment of the Week: I got my appetite back! Ever since I was about 10 weeks I haven't wanted to eat anything. Everything made me nauseous. It was the weirdest thing. Thank goodness that only lasted a little while because I was losing weight like crazy (like 6 pounds a week crazy)

Miss Anything:  My energy! Baby makin' is hard work! Is it nap time yet?

Food Cravings: First it was Chester's Hot Fries. Honestly though, I ate those like candy even before I was pregnant, things just continued ;) Anyone remember me eating those for breakfast in High School?

Now I crave anything cheesy. Oh my Papa Johns cheese sticks...

Anything make you Queasy: Russ used to eat Everything bagels for breakfast and the smell of onions and garlic in the morning..yuck. Any who, he now eats whole grain bagels :)

Weight Gain: More like weight loss. When I married Russ back in April I was the biggest I ever was. Good thing was I was losing weight like crazy before I got pregnant but the weight loss has not really stopped. They say weight loss happens sometimes but I'm ready to see this baby grow! Andddd I feel like this was all TMI..

Stretch Marks: None yet! Hopefully I can stay clear of pesky little boogers, if not, I'm reaaaalll close to someone in the plastic surgery/skin tightening business ;)

Happy or Moody: It depends on the day. Although to be honest, I have been a real crabby pants a lot of the time.

Symptoms: I still get a little nauseous every once in a while.  I've also been real stuffy recently. Maybe its my allergies, maybe its a cold, maybe I'm just pregnant. I don't know.

Looking Forward to: Finding out if I'm having a little baby boy or girl! Any guesses?!

Oh, and I know I look a little orange in the picture. I promise I don't really look that orange! I'll try playing with the lighting around the house some more for our next update ;)

A few things I'm obsessing over

1. Roller Coaster Tycoon. For the past month I have played RTC seriously everyday. Once while I was on my break at work I decided to go home and play some more RTC. I only have a 30 minute break. I may need help here soon. Or now. Yeah, I need help now.

2.  General Eccentric. I find myself wanting to go there at least once a week. That store is my weakness.

3. Instagram. All of my Instagram friends are going on vacations and posting some seriously amazing pics! Keep them coming!

4. Spongebob Mac and Cheese. It has to be Spongebob.

5. M83 "Midnight City". I listen to it whenever I am getting ready. I don't really know what it is about this song, but it makes me feel like a gangster. I love it.

6. Budgeting. I am so obsessed with sticking to our budget. Who would have thought? Whenever I go to the grocery and I spend less than our grocery budget, I do a happy dance. We are BIG savers. And I absolutely love that about us.

One of these days, I'll look back on this list and be thankful for writing it. Hopefully I can keep up the habit of blog posting!

my first post/intro

So, I have a blog. This is something that I have thought about doing for a really long time and since I'm married now (woohoo!) this is the perfect time to begin.

First, let me start off by saying that this blogs main purpose is to act as my journal. You see, I've never been much of a journal keeper. I have had one journal that I took with me to Europe and I recently just found it. While I was reading my entries, I truly was overcome with so many emotions and was so thankful that I wrote down every little detail of that trip!

So here I am, creating a blog.  I'm really excited to start documenting my everyday adventures!! Hopefully one day I can look through this blog and remember the good times, and bad, and be overcome with emotions like I was when I read my EuroJournal.  EuroJournal, you like that? Thought of it myself.

Here's to my first blog post and many more to follow!
